Architectural Acoustics Introduces New PZS 140R Mixer/Amplifier

March 13, 2003, MERIDIAN, Miss.- Architectural Acoustics, a division of Peavey Electronics Corporation, is proud to introduce the new PZS 140R five-channel mixer/amplifier.

The PZS 140R is a full-featured matrix mixer with integral 35 Watt power amplifiers. Its five input, four output architecture is supported by a full mix matrix, front panel zone assign switches, input level and EQ controls and a new remote control interface. By using the new Digitool™ 4S fourbutton, flush-mount control panel, the PZS 140R’s matrix cross points can be configured for either "input to zone" (source select), or "zone from input" (zone select) operation. Multiple controls can be connected via the PZS 140R’s CAT5 serial data bus, which makes installation simple and costeffective. LED indicators on each input section mirror changes made by the remote controls, so remote operation status is easily monitored on the front panel.

For easy installation, each input channel includes microphone and line-level inputs terminated on removable Euro connectors. Input channels 1 and 2 also include low-Z XLR connectors for easily terminating microphones used in paging applications. These inputs feature recessed front panel controls for level, threshold and paging hold time. Channels 3, 4 and 5 also include dual rear panel RCA connectors for easy termination of stereo sources.

The PZS 140R's four outputs include front panel master level controls, signal presence and clipping LED indicators. The rear panel features removable Euro connectors for terminating preamp and power amp I/O connections. The line-level outputs are 600 Ohm balanced, and the power amplifier section for each output includes transformer-coupled 100 Volt, 70 Volt and 8 Ohm outputs. In addition, a direct-coupled 4 Ohm output is provided. All power amplifier outputs are 35 Watts.
